La Diaspora
La Diaspora has quickly become a popular meeting point for international professionals and intellectually curious individuals from different backgrounds, industries and contexts
“La Diaspora” is a knowledge sharing and collaborative learning initiative that consists of a series of physical events produced by Bedrock and LA PIPA.
“The main ingredient in the secret sauce that leads to innovation is freedom. Freedom to exchange, experiment, imagine, invest and fail; freedom from expropriation or restriction by chiefs, priests and thieves; freedom on the part of consumers to reward the innovations they like and reject the ones they do not.”

“Innovation is the child of freedom, because it is a free, creative attempt to satisfy freely expressed human desires. Innovative societies are free societies, where people are free to express their wishes and seek the satisfaction of those wishes, and where creative minds are free to experiment in finding ways to supply those needs – so long as they do not harm others.”

Bedrock is very grateful to the 275 professionals that have joined and supported this initiative from the beginning, all of whom have been instrumental to the success of La Diáspora to date and with whom we have shared and learned

What have we done in 2021/2022?
We held 13 events throughout 2021, 11 of which took place in Bedrock´s headquarters, LA PIPA, in Asturias. Another two happened in Matadero, Madrid.
We debated what the future holds for all of us in many industries and practices, talking about the future of work, the green industry, Health, Asturias, Mobility, Retail, Culture, Education, Biotechnology, AI for robotics and energy, and we even tried to anticipate what the future will bring for our kids.
In 2022 we organize another 10 events at the Bedrock headquarters, LA PIPA, in Asturias.
During this period we discussed different topics including the circular economy, strategic design, innovation ecosystems, automation in industry, data and sports, media and new formats, modern marketing, tourism, smart cities and also one dedicated to Asturias.
There will be more of this in 2023, right?
This summer will continue to be time to learn and meet bright individuals and renowned professionals from diverse fields, backgrounds and geographies.
In 2023 we have talked about Web 3 and Nft’s, Culture, art and music, Modern Marketing again, digital nomads, entrepreneurs and new business models, cybersecurity, communities and proptech, new formats: video, audio…, agriculture and sustainable food or knowledge transfer.
