In this case we helped to adapt the previous infrastructure to a new global operating model with a different set of technologies. All data sources, data schemas, frameworks and computed metrics structures were adapted, re-defined and integrated to allow the migration of the previous analytics solution. All this data engineering work was carried out with no disruption and completed in less than 12 weeks across 3 markets.

Clustering algorithm for accurate targeting

To understand what customers like to buy and to decide how to provide services and offers that are better targeted, we developed a Machine Learning clustering allows shoppers to be grouped according to their buying behaviour, analyses what products would cause them to come back, and creates vouchers offering discounts on those products. This algorithm analyses how vouchers are used and improves its accuracy iteratively, in alignment with what works for each type of customer. The clustering algorithm led to a 32% increase in voucher use and a 3% increase in total sales across all retailers and supermarket stores.
